Our Commitment
Thriving Well Limited is committed to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation within our organisation and supply chains.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and are committed to conducting our services ethically, responsibly and with integrity. We recognise our responsibility to protect the dignity, rights, safety and wellbeing of the people we support, our employees and everyone who works on our behalf.
Modern slavery can include slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking. Thriving Well Limited will not knowingly work with any individual, organisation, recruitment agency, contractor or supplier involved in such practices.
Recruitment and Employment
We are committed to fair, ethical and transparent recruitment practices. Appropriate pre-employment checks are undertaken, including identity and right-to-work checks, employment references, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks where required, and verification of relevant qualifications and professional registrations.
We will not knowingly use recruitment practices that involve exploitation, coercion, unlawful recruitment fees or the withholding of personal identification documents.
Safeguarding and Reporting Concerns
Safeguarding is central to the services provided by Thriving Well Limited. Our staff are expected to remain alert to signs of abuse, exploitation, coercion, trafficking or forced labour, particularly where individuals may be vulnerable.
Any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery will be taken seriously and reported through our safeguarding and whistleblowing procedures. Where appropriate, concerns will be escalated to the relevant safeguarding authority, police or other appropriate agencies.
We encourage employees and others working with us to raise genuine concerns without fear of unfair treatment or disadvantage.
Our Policies
Our approach to preventing modern slavery is supported by relevant organisational policies and procedures, including safeguarding, safer recruitment, whistleblowing, equality and diversity, staff conduct, complaints, risk management and staff training.
These arrangements support our commitment to maintaining an organisational culture where people are treated with dignity and respect and concerns about abuse or exploitation are identified and acted upon promptly.
Suppliers and Contractors
Thriving Well Limited expects its suppliers, contractors, recruitment agencies and other organisations working on its behalf to operate ethically and comply with applicable employment, safeguarding and modern slavery legislation.
Where appropriate, we will take a proportionate and risk-based approach to assessing suppliers and contractors. We expect those we work with to take reasonable steps to prevent forced labour, human trafficking, child labour and other forms of exploitation within their own organisations and supply chains.
Where concerns are identified, we will take appropriate action, which may include seeking further assurance, requiring corrective action, reporting concerns to the appropriate authorities or ending the business relationship where necessary.
Risk Management and Staff Awareness
We recognise that modern slavery risks can arise through recruitment, temporary staffing arrangements, agency workers, contracted services and the wider supply chain.
Thriving Well Limited will keep these risks under review as the organisation develops and will take reasonable and proportionate measures to identify and manage areas of potential risk.
Staff will receive appropriate safeguarding information and training to help them recognise potential signs of exploitation and understand how to report and escalate concerns.
Monitoring and Responsibility
We will monitor the effectiveness of our arrangements through our safeguarding, recruitment, training, risk management and governance processes. Where concerns or areas for improvement are identified, appropriate action will be taken and lessons will be incorporated into our practices.
The Registered Manager and senior management of Thriving Well Limited have responsibility for promoting compliance with this statement and ensuring appropriate arrangements are maintained to prevent and respond to modern slavery risks.
All employees and individuals working on behalf of Thriving Well Limited also have a responsibility to remain vigilant and report concerns promptly.
